Annual Meeting & Election of Officers Freetownmuseum@gmail.com Due to the success of our last year's Email Annual Meeting, The Freetown Historical Society will once again conduct our Annual Meeting via US Mail and Email.  Should you have any questions or recommendations please let us know by May 12, 2023. Below is the proposed slate of officers.  There are no proposed By-law changes.   Slate of Officers   Rick Kendrick, President - 1 Year Term Paul Russell, Vice President - 1 Year Term Joy Miller, Treasurer - 1 Year Term Susan Chace, Assistant Treasurer – 1 Year Term Margret Russell, Secretary - 1 Year Term Eric Dodenhoff, Assistant Secretary – 1 Year Term   Frank Ashley, Director - 3 Year Term Marilyn Robbins, Director – 3 Year Term  Any questions should be directed to Rick Kendrick @ (508) 763-4563 by May 12, 2023.   Agenda Review & vote on the slate of nominees for The Executive Board & Board of Directors. Business meeting and Year in Review will take place June 11, 2023 at 1:30 PM on The Museum grounds.     Annual Report These past twelve months have been very busy one here at The Museum. We are opened by appointment and many visitors have walked through our door.  Many changes continue to place including;     Barn – Has been completed and work continues setting up displays.  The dedication of this building will be held on July 15th.    The Jenkins House continues to be prepared as office space. This preparation includes updated WIFI for the entire property and updates to both software and computers.   Main Museum – The basement textile area has undergone some changes and displays in this area have revamped.   Funds from The Grimshaw - Gudewicz Foundation, Len & Eleanor Chace, Robert Deane, and The Freetown Cultural Council were used to complete these projects and events.   Submitted by;   Richard Kendrick Jr., President Freetown Historical Society For The Board of Directors   1 Slab Bridge Rd, Assonet, MA 02702, USA 508 644-5310 Check out our website
